$5 SnG and Some Ring

I played a $5 SnG just for kicks and ended up finishing 1st for $22.50 then I played some $3/$6 ring and had a solid session winning about $75. I miss playing live poker after being in Vegas, its just not quite the same playing online.

Still no online cash games

I still havent had any desire to play any online cash ring games since back from my Vegas trip. I did play 1 $10 SnG last night with missidaho and I managed to win that which was good for $45 ($34 profit).

Vegas Picture

Couple Tournies

Last Night I finished 7th of 87 in the Negreanu Open. I quite possibly made the dumbest tournament play I have ever made in my life. I was sitting about 5th in chip position with 7 to go when it folded to me on the button and I pick up the monster 23o and raise it up 3x and the BB calls. Flop comes 379 and I decided that was my stand hand, but the BB had woke up with Aces, DOH! There was plenty of play left in the tourney and I just made a stupid play.

I played 2 $10 SnGs last night and got 5th in 1 and 3rd in the other.

Great Time in Vegas

Just got back from Vegas and man what a great time! Met up with about a dozen FCP friends as well as Daniel Negreanu's personal assistant for dinner. Stayed at Binions. I got 3rd in a 80 person MTT at Binions which was good for about $650 and lost about $350 overall in cash play. I easily got in 40 hours of poker during my 4 days there, was so much fun to meet everyone. I left the trip with about $200 less then I took which went to cabs, food, fun, etc. I'm taking $800 from this trip that I took out of my bankroll and putting it back in.

Off to Vegas for 4 days

Tomorrow morning I fly out for Las Vegas. Work today followed by a softball board meeting followed by the Negreanu Open.

The last few days I am up about $65 at $2/$4 and I placed 3rd in a $10 sng and 3rd in a $20 Sng last night.

Up about $90 since my last post. Still not in the mood to really keep up this blog right now so pardon the short updates.

Not Into It

Sorry for lack of blog updates, I just havent been into playing much poker lately and havent really done anything too exciting to post.

I did get my new laptop which is absolutely awesome! The screen is huge and its great for playing poker with.

I played in one of those $20 180 person SnGs on Pokerstars last night and fucking bubbled out 19th! Top 18 paid, first was $1080. What a horrible feeling to play for nearly 3 hours to get jack crap! It folded to the Button who made a min raise and I woke up with TT in the SB and pushed (i was short stack at table), but the BB woke up with AA. Sigh.

I've played 5 SnGs in the last few days and got 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 8th.

I've been playing some limit and over the past 3 days I'm back up $90.

I am getting very excited for my Vegas trip which is now just 5 days away.

Back to Basics

3 tabled $1/$2 for about 2 hours and won $36.

Also played a $20 + $2 mtt and busted 56th when my AK ran into JQ diamonds on a xxK diamonds flop.

I bought a wireless router yesterday and am anxiously awaiting my new Dell laptop to arrive.

My vegas trip is in 8 days and I am getting VERY excited.

Man These last 2 days have been horrible. I dont remember what its like to win a hand. Down $580 in last 2 days first playing 3/6 sh then 2/4.

Bought a New Laptop!

Well I did it! I finally splurged and bought me a new laptop. I have been wanting one forever and decided to take the money from my MTT win a few days ago and put it towards a new laptop. I am taking $600 out of my bankroll and $600 out of other funds to pay for it.

I got a new Dell Inspirion 9300 which has a nice 17 inch monitor that does 1600 x 1200 resolution so I can 4 table without overlap. It has 80gb hard drive, 512mb ddr2 memory, cdrw/dvdrw and is just an overall good looking machine. I should get it in 3 - 5 business days.

+25 BB $3/$6 Session

Well that boost from the MTT put my bankroll back into $3/$6 land so I played for about an hour Thursday night and had a really good session, +$153. I didnt play alot of hands, but the hands I played the flops hit me pretty well.

I also totally screwed up the Protege Qualifiar last night. There were 47 entrants and with 17 to go I was the chipleader and the top 4 advanced. I managed to bubble right out of the final table in 11th. I made a horrible play with A6 and a diamond draw against KK where I lost a ton of chips and then I pushed my last 3000 with AK and was happy to see JK call, but unfortunately a Jack floped and I never recovered, grrrr. I'm a donkey.

Royal Flush and a Nice $756 MTT Score

Yesterday I grinded out 4 tables of some $2/$4 for about an hour and pretty much broke even, down $8 (2bb). During that session I got a Royal Flush and got paid on it, its my 2nd or 3rd one ever. Here is a screen cap (click to enlarge):















After that I played in the FCPHA Army Game which is now played a Fullcontactpoker $0.15/$0.30 game. I was up about $8 at one point but ended the session down $8.

I decided to play a $30+$3 MTT on Fullcontactpoker. There were 126 people and it only paid the final table (10 spots). I played really well and picked my spots and won 2 key races AK vs pocket pair towards the end. I ended up making it down to HU, 2nd paid $756, 1st paid $1134. I got all my money in on the come and the crazy thing was the guy called me on a draw too, but I was dominated. I had QK and he had AQ, flop came XTJ. So regardless a nice $723 profit making my profit for the night $707.

Only 2 more weeks to the day until I fly out to Las Vegas and meet alot of my friends from the FCPHA Army. Looks like about a dozen of us will be there and its going to be a blast!
