Qualified for Golf Weekend with Daniel Negreanu

I played a 38 man Golf with DN Weekend Qualifiar last night and finished 3rd. Top 3 advance to a tournament where the winner gets to spend a weekend with Daniel playing golf and poker. Probably about 180 people will be in that tourney so 1:180 shot, pretty cool. Also won $60 in that tourney plus 2500 FCP points as a bonus prize.

I played alot of $2/$4 ring this weekend, probably 20 table hours and won $125.

18th in the NegO - Small Ring Win

I 4 tabled some $2/$4 for about an hour and won $16.

I finished 18th in the Negreanu Open last night out of around 122. I was in first at the one hour break, but took 2 huge thumps when I had to lay down QQ and JJ to all overs after committing a good chunk preflop.

Back From Vegas

Had a great week long vacation in Las Vegas and San Francisco. Did all the touristy stuff in SF like Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, etc.

Played a good 50 - 60 hours of poker and won about $400, but thats not going into my BR since I spent more then that on food, entertainment, etc.

Met about 40 of the FCP Army members. One of the hightlights of the trip was when Daniel Negreanu joined us for cocktails at the Voodoo Lounge.

Geeeeesus. Its amazing the play one will find in Short Handed. I played some $1/$2 SHLHE and was down about $35 and came back to end the session up about $3.

My favorite hand and I wish I had the hand history.....

I had QQ in the SB and it folded to me so I popped it to the BB who reraised, I capped, call.

Flop comes 59T 2 spades, I dont have a spade. I check raised he reraised, I called. I'm thinking KK or AA. Turn 6, I check Call. River J, no flush possible. I check call again and the guy had 8Qo for the rivered straight. AHHHHH.

I played in the $10 rebuy tourny last night 160 people and busted out 31st, close to the money, but no cigar. Lost 2 big races with overs that never hit and that was that.

$300 Losing Session

Played about 3 1/2 hours of $2/$4 tabling and dropped $290. Ugh 75BB losing sessions. I remember those! Yup, they still suck!

Going to play in the FCP WSOP Freeroll today. 500 peeps. 1st place gets $12,500 WSOP ME package.

Some $2/$4 and the Negreanu Open

Played a little more $2/$4 LHE last night and ended up about $45 for the session.

I played in the Negreanu Open and busted 40 something. Was cruising along great until one horrendous play where it folded to the BB who popped it to $300 (3x) and I found 99. I popped it back all in which was another $1200 for this person to call and he called with A6o. board 347 and ofcourse the 5 came so I was down to about $1500 in chips. I then lost 2 races AQ vs 77 then 55 versus AJ.

Sports Season Over! Some Poker Again

This weekend was both of my kids All-Stars tournaments and now its all over so I will have a little more free time to get back into some poker.

I played a little $2/$4 for about 3 hours yesterday on July 4th and ended up + $80 so good solid +20BB session. Got my BR back to around $900, $300 more to get back to even for the year then I'm still shooting for my $10,000 goal by the end of the year.

Two weeks from now I will be in San Francisco then flying into Vegas. Very excited for this trip.
