Sunday night & some FPP shopping

Played in some sort of forum tourney betweeen FCP (Fullcontactpoker) and NWP (Neverwinpoker). There was like 120 entrants and it paid top 18. I busted out in 27th with AJ on A flop versus KK where K hit river. Oh well.

4 tabled $5/$10 on partypoker for about 2 hours and netted up $190.

I spent some frequent player points and did some shopping. On partypoker I bought me some of their stylish clothing line, a tan party poker visor, a men's polo shirt, and one of their baseball jerseys.

On pokerstars I bought two of there newer books. "Poker Champion Moneymaker by Chris Moneymaker" and "The Poker MBA by Greg Dinkins" I still have about 2000 fpp points on stars, may buy Matt Matros's The making of a poker player, but not sure.

I am in the middle of reading SS2 and The Professor, Banker, and Suicide King right now. I'm really enjoying the Andy Beal book so far.

Good morning session

Played some $5/$10 for about 2 hours on 3 tables this morning and netted up $320. I got sucked out on a few times, but I also hit a 2 outter myself once for a big pot. This hand was the one that bothered me. I am not sure if I cost myself an extra $40 on the river or not. Still wandering if the right play was to raise there or just smooth call.

Attack of the Killer Rivers!!!!

About 3 posts ago I talked about how nice it is when the flops are with you. Well here is a post about when the river just kicks your ass all night. I played $5/$10 for about 3 hours 4 tabling and lost $385. Check out some of these hands, advice is always welcome if I misplayed them.

What a shitty river ....

Not used to these pot swings

Well now that I am officially playing $5/$10 I have to say the average pot sizes freak me out a little bit. You can easily lose $50+ every hand you play, sometimes more. So far $5/$10 has been treating me well. I just played another 1 hour 4 table session on partypoker and netted up $285.

Normally I would find myself playing for 2 or 3 hours, but since I was up nearly $300 I found myself not wanting to lose it back. From all the books I have read I know this is the wrong way to think because that means I have associated monetary value to my chips instead of thinking in terms of just bets. This is something I am going to have to work at to get over, but I am sure I can do it.

I felt like I was the better player at the tables today. Most people I found were checking, calling, or folding. If raise is not in your reportoire then you cant win at these levels. The more hours I get in at $5/$10 the more comfortable I will be having $300 - $500 up or down swings in an hour, but for right now its still a little new and uncomfortable.

When the flops are with you

I just had the best 1 hour session I think I have ever had and it certainly wasnt because of my skill. I just played for 15 minutes of $5/$10 and won $47 then 4 tabled $3/$6 for 45 minutes and won another $155. I got some really good cards and I flopped at least 3 sets, even got quads once. When the flops are with you it is REALLLLLY nice. Wish every session could be like this one.

I havent shared hand histories in awhile so I thought I would share a few today (feel free to comment) .....

Just a straight forward BEAUTIFUL hand ...

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=95312

Another fun setted hand ....

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=95314

Again my 5 year old could play these hands, although I did miss some bets here, played this pretty bad ...

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=95315

yes this is all within the same hour session ...

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=95316

Flop trips, guy turns straight, i fill up on river, uh huh same session ...

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=95317

Here is a pot I earned ...

Noticed the mucked hand (again when the flops are with you they are with you) ...

I think that gives enough examples of how everything went right today. Any way you look at it, $202 bankroll boost for 1 hours 'work'

Chris Moneymaker busts me out of tourney

So i enter the $10+1 rebuy tourney on stars, like 1200 people, prize pool ends up offering $12,000 for first place.

I play for nearly 4 1/2 hours and end up in top 50, guaranteed $155. Chris Moneymaker is at my table and I'm on the button, its folded around to me and I have AQs, moneymaker is in the Big Blind. I raise 3x bb, he comes back over top big like 10x bb, i thought he was just defending his blind so I pushed back all in. He shows AA and flop comes 44A and theres no hope for me.

Finished 42nd and got $155 for $21.

You can click image to enlarge it.

I also made $75 playing some $3/$6

Losing Sucks

Dont feel like typing details. Lost $200 on fulltilt, lost $140 on pokerstars, and lost $35 on partypoker. Total days loss $375. Mainly played $5/$10 today, probably 8 or 9 table hours.

Full Tilt Session

Played my first full tilt session. About an hour of $3/$6 and netted up +$98. The bonus moves pretty slow even at $3/$6. It releases $20 at a time and I accrued $2.70 towards the first $20.

I played in the $34K guarantee party poker $20 NL. It capped out with 2000 entrants and I finished 1100 when my 67h on a KK6 board got counterfeited by running queens.

Current BR - $2612

Cleared PokerStars Bonus

I finished getting my 600 frequent player points on stars by playing some more $3/$6. Had another good session and netted up $130 plus the $120 bonus release so a +$250 bankroll boost.

I think I may go play some on fulltilt for a while and see how the games are there.

Gaming Club Reopened and 250 Stars Hands

Well the gaming club finally reopened my account after receiving all the information I sent them. I am not going to finish that PSO promotion and I cashed out my $918 which will take another few days to clear.

I played 250 hands of $3/$6 on Pokerstars and made $65 which was a good 4.33bb/100. I now have 350 of the required 600 FPPs to release the $120 bonus.

As much as I loved the bonuses on GamesGrid I am starting to think that I may be able to make more money playing these looser partypoker and pokerstars type games versus playing the rock garden Grid games and earning the bonus.

Current BR - $2286

Fulltilt and Poker Stars Bonuses

After doing some catchup I found out that Poker Stars is offering a 20% reload deposit bonus up to $120 with a $600 deposit so I did that. Also fulltilt has a 50% deposit bonus up to $600 as well so I did that. I played 100 hands of $3/$6 on Poker Stars and profited about $24 so a nice and even 3bb/100. Need 500 more points there to clear the $120 bonus then I will go work at fulltilt which releases $20 at a time.

I sent the gaming club a new statement via email today and called to verify they received it which they did. Hopefully my gaming club account will be opened today.

Vacation Summary

Well made it back in one piece, thats always the sign of a good vacation. We ended up leaving about 9:00 PM CST on Saturday night and I drove all night from Nashville into Orlando. We lost an hour during the drive due to Eastern Standard time, but arrived at the Welcome Center right at 8:30 AM so about a 10 1/2 hour drive. I only stopped 3 times for gas and of course the family slept the entire night.

When I got to the welcome center to check into our resort I noticed one of our tires was nearly flat so I put some air in it at the gas station and it immediately started 'hissing' back out. I found a local tire place that didnt open for another hour, but we ended up needing to get a new tire which put a nice $100 dent on the front end of our vacation.

Sunday we pretty much just laid low cause it rained a lot. We toured the resort and went swimming and had a couple nice meals.

Sunday night I couldnt sleep because I kept getting the chills. By the time Monday morning came around I was running 104 degree temperature. GREAT, what a way to start your vacation. I was miserable. My wife and kids went on and did a full day at Sea World while I layed sick in the room for 12 hours watching bad TV.

By Tuesday I was feeling a little better and we made a full day out of Disney's Animal Kingdom. They had a very cool safari, 3D show, petting zoo, and Lion King show that we all enjoyed.

Wednesday we left Orlando and drove to Cocoa Beach which took about an hour. We spend nearly all day Wednesday on the beach and playing in the ocean. That night we went and had dinner then caught the new Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the local theather. We all loved the movie and agree Johnny Depp is an amazing actor.

Thursday we spent the full day touring Kennedy Space Center which I thought was just awesome, but my kids werent too excited. We got to see Discovery out on the launch pad waiting for its scheduled Tuesday launch. We got to go inside a real space shuttle, watched a cool 3D Imax movie, took a cool tour of all the facilities, touched a moon rock, mars rock, etc etc. We finished the day with a nice sit down meal at a steak and ribs place.

Friday we got up and drove home. It took nearly 12 1/2 hours to get home because A) we were leaving from cocoa beach instead of orlando and B) there was a lot of traffic, especially through Alanta GA rush hour, sigh.

We got in late last night, got up this morning and picked up our dog from the kennel and going to try to relax today and tomorrow to be back and at em at work on Monday.

Vacation

Welp, I'm off to Florida for 7 days. Still havent resolved my gaming club issue, guess I am going to have to wait til I receive an actual current utility bill in mail to send them. I did play about an hour of $5/10 on Party Poker last night and made $32.

I'll be back Saturday July 23rd.

Gaming Club Poker is Wearing Me Out

So the 'freeze' my account a few days ago. I call them, they tell me I need to verify my identity by sending them a copy of my drivers license and a utility bill which I do.

The next morning my account is still locked so I call and they tell me that couldnt accept that utility bill because it was 6 months old. I dont typically keep utility bills after I pay them and that one was the only one I could find. I asked if I could send a current statement of a utility bill that shows my name, address, email, etc and they said yes.

So I go online to my cell phone company and print out a current statement which has my name, email address, physical address, date, last payment, cell phone number, etc all which match exactly as to what I registered on the gaming club with.

24 hours go by and I still havent heard anything so I call again this morning and they say they still cant open my account because it was an 'online statement' and they need a 'real' statement. By this time I am completely fed up (keep in mind just the day before yesterday my house caught on fire and my water heater busted so I am already in a pissy mood). And I am trying to get ready to go on vacation for 8 days starting this weekend.

They would not transfer me to a manager, their processing department, or anything and basically tell me I am shit out of luck until I send them a current real utility bill. So as of now I have called and left a request with my electric company to fax me a statement of my account.

This whole experience has been horrible and as soon as they open my account I'm outta there. Stay away from The Gaming Club Poker!

Fire update and a little poker

Well the guy came out today to assess the fire damage and I should have a quote by the end of the day tomorrow. Basically about half of the air conditioning duct work under the house is going to have to be replaced and the ventilation piping for the dryer will need to be replaced. Turns out we were pretty lucky; besides the fact the house didnt burn down, where the fire was, was right around all the electrical wires leading to the main breaker box. Luckily none of that was damaged.

We are going on our big family vacation this Saturday night to Florida. Doing the whole Disney World, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach thing so I am glad all this stuff happened this week and not while we were on vacation for 8 days.

I played about an hour of $5/$10 on party poker and at my highest point was up $120, but I played one stupid hand that cost me about $65, I wont even go into the details. I ended the session up $25. I'll take $25/hr any day of the week.

So I called gaming club poker support again because my account is still locked. They said they got my license and utility bill, but the utility bill i sent them was 6 months old and they needed something within the last 3 months. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? So I had to find a newer bill and email that to them. Just plain ridiculous. As soon as my account is opened I am dropping the PSO for this site and going to just withdraw my money.

And the hits just keep on coming

So I make my 6:30 AM meeting on time and get to work about 9:00 and notice my office is 'roped off' and there is plastic garbage bags everywhere.

Apparently there was a leak in the roof at my office and it pooled up in the ceiling tiles above my desk and broke through over night leaving ceiling tile bits and water all over my desk and computer. All my papers/contracts are soaked/ruined. My mouse and keyboard didnt work anymore (I am using new ones now). My monitor and tower seem to be ok, but I am backing up everything as we speak just in case.

After an inspection this morning of our fire damage it looks like quite a bit of the air ducts under the house were singed and will need to be replaced so I am about to go meet with the insurance company and a contractor to see how much this is going to cost me.

Still no word from gaming club about my account either, sigh.

To be continued ..........

You've Got To Be Shitting Me!!!!

So lets recap for those that havent read my last 24 hours. Yesterday I lose around $450 due to variance and bad beats, probably some bad play too. I go on tilt and lose another $400 playing NL above my bankroll. So I lose over $800 and over 1/3rd of my bankroll in 1 day. My worst finacial loss in poker ever.

So I get over that and goto work this morning and 30 minutes later my wife calls and our hot water heater busted. I have to leave work, buy a new hot water heater, pay a handy man to install it, out $350.

I have a pretty good evening in poker. Got my $300 PSO bonus and made $199 in actual play at party poker.

I go to log in The Gaming Club which has about $940 of my money in it and I am doing because of the PSO promotion. It says my account is locked and I have to contact support. I call their toll free 800# and they tell me yes its locked because I need to verify my account by sending them my drivers license and a utility bill with my name and address on it. Are you kidding me?? For one I have never even tried to withdraw, only deposited $1000 and only played for 2 days.

So after I gave the guy the idea I wasnt happy I took digital images of my drivers license and a utility bill and emailed it their support. I am still waiting on a response and my account to reopened and my money (nearly half my bankroll) to be unfroze.

So then the ultimate happens. I'm already in the pisser when my wife says "Do you smell that smoke?" I go into the living room and sure enough their is the distinct strong oder of smoke, like a candle got blown out or whatever (ya know, Smoke!). We looked everywhere and couldnt find a source of the odor and my first thought was the new hot water heater was burning or something was wrong it, but that wasnt it.

I then notice smoke coming up the air condition vents, holy shit this cant be good! I grab a flash light and go outside to the crawl space which leads under the house. I'll be damned if there hadnt been a fire from hell! The entire crawl space was filled with smoke and their was black char all over the dryer ventilation vents, several holes burned into the insulation. As far as I could tell the fire was out and nothing felt warm after I smartly touched everything with my bare hands to make sure.

Its like after midnight and I call the fire department just to make sure everything is ok so 5 minutes later here comes the fire department with their bright lights a going; waking every neighbor in the neighborhood. The first guy comes all in like Darth Vader in a full suit and mask complete with the sound effects "chhhhh chhhhh. chhhhhh chhhhh"

Apparently there is a kink or blockage in our dryer ventilaton system and it caused a backup which caught on fire. I have no idea who I need to call tomorrow have them come check this out and get me fixed up, but it doesnt sound like that could be very cheap. So its like 1 am and I have to get up in 5 hours for a 6:30 am meeting Thursday. After my meeting I gotta get this crap taken care of.

All I know is my gaming club account better be opened!

WHAT A FRICKING DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

On a good note no one was hurt and I am thankful that this didnt happen while we were sleeping and my family is ok. Just unreal how so much bad stuff can happen in one day.

Good night!

First Session After Big Loss

Well I treaded water and played some $2/$4 hold em on party poker for about 20 minutes and had a great session, immediately up $70. This was my favorite hand of the night. Pay close attention to A) my hole cards B) the preflop betting C) the flop C) my opponents cards.

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=87102

Gotta love party poker sometimes!

I then played in the Negreanu Open and finished 26th of 46 when I got short stacked and my JQ soooooted ran into the powerful 26 offsuit of poguemahone.

I then decided to parlay my $70 and sit at 1 $5/$10 party poker table. I decided to try a different tactic. Instead of 5 tabling $2/$4 or $3/$6 I would 1 table $5/$10 and 'pay attention' and see how I could do. I ended up having a great 1 hour session, + $140. I have to admit I got some great cards. I had 2 AA and at least 3 Ace-face, 3 pocket pairs, 1 time I flopped a set of 2s and turned quads (no action).

So my first session back in the saddle (taking out the $11 for the negreanu open) I cashed up $199.

Just Received $300 Party Poker PSO Transfer

No more then 5 minutes after my last post I got an email informing me that my $300 Gift Certificate has been placed into my Party Poker account from Poker Source Online. I may end up playing 75 hands tonight after all so I can withdraw this money and then again I may leave it in Party Poker and play some $2/$4; who knows!.

Current BR - $1941

Replaced Water Heater

Well I went home and checked things out and it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. There wasnt water EVERYWHERE like I was expecting, but the carpet by the water heater in the utility closet was soaked and leaked under the house a little bit.

I made a trip to Home Depot and picked up a water heater and all the necessary accesories which ran around $240 then I paid a handy man friend of mine to install it while I went back to work, he only charged me $85 which was a bargain in my eyes because the plumbing places I called wanted like $250 for installation.

Things could have been worse and I feel I got off pretty easy only being out of pocket $325 to have a brand new water heater bought and installed.

I think I am going to take a break from poker tonight other then the Negreanu Open which starts at 9:00 EST. I feel like I need a good day or two break after yesterdays $840 loss.

I am still waiting on my $300 party poker gift certificate to go through.

Add Insult to Injury / When It Rains it Pours

OK this is not poker related, but just goes to show you when you are 'running bad' it can keep getting worse. I have been at work about an hour and my wife just called to inform me that our Hot Water Heater just busted and is spouting water everywhere. *SIGH* This sounds expensive, update later .....

The Morning After Tilt

Well talk about not wanting to get out of bed. This morning was terrible. I woke up and had to realize "yes its true you dumbass, you blew over 1/3rd of your hard earned bankroll in one blaze of stupidity". Talk about a gutshot.

I want to thank the people who left comments on my last post. It actually was refreshing to here positive feedback and hand critiques. I may actually post some more hands from last night to get some more feedback because those suggestions were really helpful.

Unfortunatley games grid only lets you pull the last 100 hands so I couldnt get many, but here are 3 hands I found that I played when the table started to get short handed right before I left ....

This was just a horribly played gutshot now that I go back and look at it ... http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=86857

I am really curious in feedback on this one. It was a blind steal attempt that landed me middle pair and I bet it the whole way. The guy had a open ended straight draw and a flush draw and hit it on the river .. http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=86859

This was the last hand I played - down to heads up and flop top pair - get beat by higher kicker - http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=86862

On the good news it turns out I did rake my 2000 hands on Poker Rewards last night so I got that $200 bonus deposited into my account. Also my noble poker and poker rewards PSO bonuses cleared on PSO so I got 34,000 points. I just ordered a $300 party poker gift certificate which will probably take a few days to hit my account then I will have to rake 75 hands to be able to cash it out.

My 100 fpps coverted to $20 this morning. I have 4 VFP hours credited at the $5/$10 and $3/$6 level. No double VFP this week so $5/$10 pays $7.50 and $3/$6 pays $4.50.

Public Record of Tilt

OK so after losing $450 earlier today I do the dumbest thing I have ever done in my life and set at a $400 NL table. I know so better then trying to make money back quick, but I was stupid and hey at least I am man enough to publically admit it. I played for about 45 minutes and was up about $30 when the I got QQ in mid and raised it 3x. Flop came QKA. Other guy had KK and I ended up all in and lost $430 more.

Amazing how it can take me hundreds of hours to build my bankroll and only 1 hour to lose it. I am embarrased to even write this as I know this is just insanely the dumbest thing I could ever do.

Sigh

How to lose $450 in 3 hours

Why in the world I decided to play $5/$10 I'll never know, but I played for 3 hours and manged to lose $420. I'm not sure, but I am pretty sure thats BAD! It sounds really bad cause the amount is so large, but reality is it was a 42 BB losing session. Here are some hands. Feel free to comment on how bad I played them ...

I also played a $20 MTT on stars and finished 305th out of like 900 when my QQ lost to A9.

Overall this is the worst 1 day poker loss I have ever hand -$451

Sweet 300 hand Poker Rewards Session

Once again there were no $3/$6 games going at Poker Rewards, but I did find 2 $2/$4 and 3 $1/$2 games going. I 5 tabled for 2 hours and got in 300 raked hands and am now 1450 raked hands. 550 more hands to go til I release the $200 deposit bonus. During this 300 hand session I managed to make $165, was a +20bb/100 session.

More good news is both my noble poker and my poker rewards promotions with PSO have been verified so my points should be posted within a day or two. Currently I have 19,000 PSO points and the noble is worth 6000 and the poker rewards is worth 9000 since it was an upgrade promo. That will give me 34,000 points. I plan on spending 30,000 points on a $300 party poker gift certificate. Its my understanding you have to rake 25% of the bonus amount before you can cash it out so I will have to hit up 75 party poker hands which is no biggee.

Also just played a $10 HU SnG on stars and won in 4 minutes, proffted $9.50. Two key hands I bluffed with 45 on a 89T A board and final hand was a race I won with 66 versus JA

Quick Lunchtime Session

Played a quick little hour lunchtime session today at Poker Rewards. The waiting list was like 9 deep for $2/$4 and there wasnt a $3/$6 game going so I hit up 2 of the $1/$2 limit tables. Again, I am just trying to reach 2000 raked hands on this site so I can get my $200 depo bonus. I was at 1000 hands when I started and ended up at 1150 raked hands so played 150 and made $50 in play which was good for a +16.67 BB/100 session. I would have made $70 but on one of my last hands I picked up AA and reraised a raise and some donkey cold called 3 bets with 2Q of clubs and flushed on the turn. 850 more raked hands to go.

Another Games Grid $400 VFP Payment

Well like clockwork sometime between when I went to bed Sunday night and woke up Monday morning my Gamesgrid newsletter arrived in my mail box. This week this is what it informed me ....

$401.81 was credited to your account for the following play:

8.94 hours at $1/$2 Dealer Choice
7.80 hours at $2/$4 Dealer Choice
3.66 hours at $1/$2 Hold 'em
4.19 hours at $2/$4 Hold 'em
32.45 hours at $3/$6 Hold 'em

This week the double VFP hours are at all the no limit hold em tables $0.50/$1.00 and up. I am not a NLHE cash player so probably wont be playing as much on grid this week. I will use this as a chance to finish some of my PSO Bonuses.

I also got an additional $44 in FPP Money so a hardy $445 bankroll boost overnight.

Few hours of poker

I played about 200 raked hands on Poker Rewards and managed to lose $70. I lost a $20 SnG on Poker Stars when I busted out 5th with AJ versus J6 and an da 6 hit the turn. I played another $10 SnG and finished 3rd for $18. I played several table hours on Games Grid and made $135 in play there at the 3/6 tables. Also have 220 fpp points pending which will convert to $44 tonight plus I think i got several VFP hours in which will pay out tonight as well.

STILL waiting on my noble poker and poker rewards promotions to verify with PSO. I have 1003 more raked hand to go on poker rewards to release the $200 depo bonus.

Son's 6th Birthday and The Grand Ole Opry

Got up this morning and went to Wal Mart to pick up a bunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, Spiderman Cake and Ice Cream. We had my son's 6th Birthday party here at the house from 11:30 - 2:00 and I grilled out and there were about 12 kids and 10 adults here besides my parents and my wife and I so we had a full house. The kids swam most of the time and my son got all kinds of cool presents; mainly spiderman, power rangers, yugi-o, and wresting stuff. The party went off great and then I took about a 2 hour nap because I was exhausted.

About 5:00 we dropped the kids off at the neighbors and I took my parents to their big surprise; The Grand Ole Opry. Keeping in mind I am not really into country music it was a pretty good time. Really the best part of it was seeing how great of a time my parents had. They were totally surprised and had no idea we were going. My mom and dad have watched the Grand Ole Opry on TV for as long as I can remember so they were very excited to find out thats what we were doing.

I was really surprised at how long it was, started at 6:30 and ended about 9:10 and it was just a never ending sea of artists. My parents recgonized every one, but I only knew a few. The line up was Little Jimmy Dickens, The Whites (Brother Where Art Thou Soundtrack), Elizabeth Cook, Mike Snider, Jean Shepard, Jimmy Newman, Jason Aldean, John Conlee, Jan Howard, Billy Walker, Carlene Carter, Porter Wagner, Mel McDaniel, Connie Smith, Del McCoury Band, Opry Square Dance Band (sigh), Jeannie Seely, Osborne Brothers (they are famous for the song Rocky Top Tennessee and thats what they sang), Marty Stuart, and Vince Gill. I had heard of Marty and Vince and they were both pretty good.

What a long fulfilling day, doubt I will get any poker in. My parents leave tomorrow and I may get a few table hours in while my wife is at work.

This Weekend with the Parents

After my post last night I played a $30 SnG on Stars and busted out 7th when I had JJ and flop came down 248 and I got my money in against 88. I lost another $20 playing some Stud Hi/Lo. I got $20 in grid FPP added to my grid account and my hours are updated for my pending Sunday Payment:

$1/$2 Dealer Choice - 6.3 ($18.90)
$2/$4 Dealer Choice - 7.8 ($46.80)
$1/$2 Hold 'em - 3.7 ($11.10)
$2/$4 Hold 'em - 1.4 ($8.40)
$3/$6 Hold 'em - 25.0 ($225.00)

So this week on Grid I have 44.2 table hours that will pay me a bonus of around $310.20.

Unfortunately I probably will not get to play any more poker for the next 3 days. My parents are coming into town tonight and staying for the weekend, because my son's 6th birthday is tomorrow. We are also going to goto the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night. I may get some hours in Sunday evening, but it will probably be Monday before I get to sit again.

Internet Connection Problems / PSO Update / IPod

For nearly 2 or 3 weeks now my internet connection has been going out randomly for aobut 20 or 30 seconds at a time. It has been happening anywhere from 2 or 3 to as many as 10 times a night. Its just damn long enough to make me fold a hand I am in. I probably have lost over $200 in hands that were sure winners but I got D/C and they were folded. $25 today alone. I had Comcast come out yesterday and they said it was a known issue in my area that sub hub/router in Philadelphia was giving them problems and somehow that effects me here in Nashville *sigh* Hopefully fixed soon because this is very frustrating.

I lost about $45 on grid today and won $50 on Poker Rewards and finished that promotion. I had to rake 600 hands on Rewards and I have done about 681 hands on that site so far. I am going to play up to 2000 raked hands because thats when the $200 deposit bonus releases. Right now I am down about $70 total on that site. Was down about $120 until my $50 win there today.

It has been about 10 days and my noble poker PSO promotion has still not been verified. I noticed on the PSO support forum a lot of people are having the same problem, some been waiting 2 or 3 weeks. I currently have 16000 PSO points and when noble clears that will be another 6000 and when poker rewards clears that will be another 9000. I have 4 pending referrals (2 confirmed and 2 still that people are still working). The 2 that are confirmed will pay me 2000 more points total on the 10th of this month. So when everything clears I should have 33,000 points and I am going to buy a $300 party poker gift certificate for 30,000 points.

I got my IPOD hooked up today and been playing with it. I imported a few of my CDs. Started with my Breaking Benjamin CD which is one of my favorites right now followed by my KISS Alive III album, Ratt Cd, Journey CD, Def Leppard CD, Night Ranger Greatest Hits CD, and a few others. The little thing is pretty awesome!

I have 104 fpps pending on gamesgrid which will be $20 tonight and I will post my current VFP hours tomorrow morning after they update tonight.

1 Month Hit Counter Stats

Well it has been exactly one month since I put the hit counter on my blog out of curiousity to see how many people actually came here. As of now there have been 2,587 Total Page Views and 1,245 Total Unique Visitors. Pretty interesting.

I lose too much

OK I admit it, I am not a consistently winning player and I would be broke if it werent for bonuses. I really need to invest in poker tracker and start finding my leaks, because it seems anymore I have 3 losing sessions to my every 1 winning one. I'm not sure whats going on, but I need to figure it out soon. I dont think Gamesgrid integrates with Poker Tracker.

I got a little over 10 table hours in last night of Ring play and lost $260 at $3/$6. Thats losing about $26/table hour which is - 4BB/HR.

I played in the Negreanu Open and finished 33rd of 51. I busted out when I pushed my JK with K high flop but ran into pocket Aces.

I also played in the $5 MTT on gamesgrid. There were like 59 entrants and I finished 4th which was good for $55. I also got like 215 FPPs that cleared which is another $43 bonus added. I actually already have another 80 fpps pending on today for my little bit of play after midnight last night.

I updated the leaderboard website for the Negreanu Open to include last nights tourney results (http://home.comcast.net/~fullcontactpoker/leaderboard.html)

So after my bonuses I had a -$162 day.

Hard Come Easy Go

So Im feeling good from my $240 win and I decide to sit at a $1/$2 $200 max NL table. first hand I get JJ and raise to $8 and 2 callers. Flop JQ2 rainbow. Im first to act and bet around 2/3 pot, $20. 1 fold and 1 call. Turn A. I checked hoping he had something like AJ or AQ and was going to trap. He goes all in for another $120. Only hands that can beat me here are QQ, AA or TK. I ruled out TK with preflop call of $8. QQ and AA didnt see logical but becuase this was a large overbet, nearly twice the size of the pot and you would think he would try to extract money from me with a hand like that not try and run me out. I called the $120 and he turns over QQ. MOTHER FUC#!@#$#@$@#$@ Work several hours to win $240 and let $150 of it go in 1 hand. This is why I hate NL; 1 hand and lose $150 when flopping damn trips. $%@$#%#@$%@#$%#$

Holy Crap a Winning Session!!!!

WOW. I pretty much forgot what a good winning session felt like, but tonight was a great one. I 5 and 6 tabled $3/$6 hold em on gamesgrid for a few hours. I wont know exact hours until the VFP updates tonight, but being the fact its double hours it will be good! I made $240 in play and earned exactly 300.00 Frequent Player Points which will turn into $60 tomorrow so a $300 + VFP hours session. I'll update the FPP part and hours tomorrow when its updated.

$120 from Bankroll for Grand Ole Opry

*Sigh* This is the 4th time I have taken money from my bankroll for non poker stuff this year.

My son's 6th birthday is this upcoming Saturday and my parents are coming in to town. They have always talked about wanting to goto the Grand Ole Opry sometime so I broke down and bought us 3 tickets @ $40 a pop. I am not a fan of country music at all and am going to have a miserable time I'm sure, but this is one of those 'loving son' sacrifices.

So this is $120 out of my bankroll and earlier this year I took $100 out for 3 Doors Down concert tickets for my wife and I, took $210 out for my plane tickets to Atlantic City last month, and took $75 out for the time I took my softball team to get ice cream.

So if December 31st comes and I am within $505 of my $5000 goal then I may call 'technicality'!

Started Poker Rewards PSO Promo

Pokersourceonline started their July promos and the Poker Rewards site was one of the uprades. I deposited $500 into the site which qualifies for a $200 bonus after 2000 raked hands. The PSO promo only requires 600 hands in order to finish it and the upgrade gives you 9000 points.

I raked about 200 hands in tonights session at the $1/$2 level and lost $5.

$#@%@%$@#$%@$#%

As soon as I start to move forward with my bankroll I go on a horrible stupid session. I lost $90 at gamesgrid playing $1/$2 and $3/$6 and another $260 on pokerstars playing $3/$6 hi/lo stud. Everytime I would get an unbelievable starting hand like A234 or 4 to a suit I could never hit the final 3 cards. Dang $350 bankroll hit.

Here was my favorite $1/$2 hand where I have QQ and flop the full house, raises get capped at the turn and guy hits his one outter for quads on the river. Just a symbol of how crappy my day was. http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=82981

My last 500 raked hands I played 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, anything from .50/1 to $3/$6. I am still learning this game so was happy to only lose $30 over 500 hands. Got my $100 bonus and netted $60 over the entire 700 hand bonus period.
