I started off with about 20 minutes of LHE while I waited on my $5 NLHE MTT to start and managed to run off with $21.
I decided I was gonna drink some beer tonight and play some tournaments so as the $5 MTT started I also registered for the $20 NLHE MTT and the $30 PLHE MTT.
Long story short, I only played premium hands, avoided coinflips, and pretty much found myself shorstacked in all the tournaments, but I did cash in all 3 which to me is pretty impressive considering the fields, especially in the $5 crapshoot.
The most impressive was the $30 PLHE. I got cripled down to 1400 chips after I was all in preflop AQ vs JK and flop came blanks, turn blank, and river was painful heart daggering J. Blinds were 200/400 at the time so I only had 2.5bb left and was sitting 49th out of 49 and only the top 27 payed. I managed to play the short stack very well avoiding several Ax or Kx opportunities. I doubled up the two times I pushed, once was K9 vs K2 and the other was KQ vs JJ. I finished exactly 27/27 for the money, shewwww talk about sweating that last hour!

Sure was a crap lot of work for only $57 total profit, but regardless I was proud of myself. MTTs are really awesome if you can make top 1, 2, 3 or at least a final table, outside of that they are not really +EV.
Regardless take my $18 ring and $57 MTTs and we have a winning day of $75. Sure beats working at McDonalds for 10 hours, I'll tell ya that.
