15,000 Page Hits, Crazy

First of all I just noticed that this blog has over 15,000 page hits now which is just crazy to me. Nothing like a bunch of people you dont really know watching you screw up your goal.

I missed work yesterday feeling a little under the weather, but I have been playing some cards, a lot of cards. I played 1 $20 MTT, 1 $30 MTT which I lost then I got 2nd in a $20 SnG.

I played quite a bit of hold em and Stud 8o. Make about $56 at Hold Em and lost about $95 at Stud, sigh.

I hit my achilles heel again and played some $3/$6 shorthanded, I know better then that! Lost about $70 there.

Watched Survivor last night! God that show is awesome :-D

Got lots of work to catch up on today from being out yesterday so will update more later.

Cashed in all 3 MTTs I Played Tonight

I started off with about 20 minutes of LHE while I waited on my $5 NLHE MTT to start and managed to run off with $21.

I decided I was gonna drink some beer tonight and play some tournaments so as the $5 MTT started I also registered for the $20 NLHE MTT and the $30 PLHE MTT.

Long story short, I only played premium hands, avoided coinflips, and pretty much found myself shorstacked in all the tournaments, but I did cash in all 3 which to me is pretty impressive considering the fields, especially in the $5 crapshoot.

The most impressive was the $30 PLHE. I got cripled down to 1400 chips after I was all in preflop AQ vs JK and flop came blanks, turn blank, and river was painful heart daggering J. Blinds were 200/400 at the time so I only had 2.5bb left and was sitting 49th out of 49 and only the top 27 payed. I managed to play the short stack very well avoiding several Ax or Kx opportunities. I doubled up the two times I pushed, once was K9 vs K2 and the other was KQ vs JJ. I finished exactly 27/27 for the money, shewwww talk about sweating that last hour!

Sure was a crap lot of work for only $57 total profit, but regardless I was proud of myself. MTTs are really awesome if you can make top 1, 2, 3 or at least a final table, outside of that they are not really +EV.

Regardless take my $18 ring and $57 MTTs and we have a winning day of $75. Sure beats working at McDonalds for 10 hours, I'll tell ya that.

Played a good bit of poker

I think I am getting a little bit bored with poker, (WHAT!?!?) Did I say that?

Last night I played several hours and I just kept switching things up to try and keep my attention.

The evening started off TERRIBLE when I went down $140 playing 4 tables of $3/$6. I then headed to play a little NL action, sat at a $200 NL table which is probably a little outside my bankroll now I think about it. Either way I managed to win about $180 there.

There was one very key hand where I was dealth AdTs and limped on the button. We were playing 6 handed and there were 2 limpers in front of me and the BB had been reraising everytime I would raise his blinds so thats why I limped. 5 of us saw the flop which came down AcKdQd giiving me TPGK and gutshot straight draw. It went check, check, Bet $4, call $4, then I raised it 5X and made it $20 to go to see where I stood. It folded around to the original better who called the additional $16 and the turn was the 7d giving now giving me the nut flush draw. The original better checked to me and I bet out $30 (into a pot of $54) and the guy check raised me $30 more making it $60 to go. Now I was put to the test and I figured I was behind to a TJ or maybe a set, but most likey a turned flush. I did some quick math and realized I had to put in $30 more to win a pot of $144 so was getting pretty much even money on drawing to the nut flush. I called the $30 and the beautiful 7d came on the river giving me the nuts. I pushed my remaining stack putting the guy all in for his last $93 which he called showing Jd6d having the flush on the turn.

I then went and played a $10 MTT on Pokerstars where I proceeded to bust out in the first hour in true donkey fashion. I wont even go into the hand as it was so bad, but lets just say I couldnt let go of AQ.

I then went and played a $24+2 MTT on Fulltilt Poker which was a $10,000 guarantee. I thought there was going to be a good overlay, but it dried up by start time. About 30 minutes in I was up around $1000T (tourney chips) when I picked up KK on the button and raised it 4x. It had folded to me and the BB who had me covered pushed all in. It was a very quick all in so I was thinking Aces or steal, but convinced myself that it was a lower pair trying to take it right there and I would be a 4.2:1 favorite. I called and he flopped over AQ suited making me 2:1 favorite, but the AJx flopped and I never hit my K or runner straight and was out.

Next I headed to play 1 table of $5/$10 LHE which is definitely above my BR, but I decided I would play tight and at 1 table to focus. I ended up having a winning session of about $65 there after an hours play.

Very late I decided to head to the $50 NL table and 3rd hand at the table I picked up AA and raised it 6x with 1 caller. Flop came down 47J rainbow, I bet the pot and the guy calls. The turn comes down a 3 and I check (intending to check raise, but thinking back I should have went ahead and bet big as the board now had straight and flush draws out there). The guy actually bet into me about 1/4th the pot and it felt weak so I pushed him for his remaining chips and he called instantly turning over 33, DOH! How does he call a pot bet with 33 after that flop I'll never know, but I took it as a sign to goto bed as I would have probably donked off more money on tilt or trying to make back that $50.

All and all I played a lot of poker and finished the day up $18.

Exhausting Weekend

I had a dang exhausting weekend as I worked both Saturday and Sunday which made days 13 and 14 in a row of straight working and I have to work M-F as well making 19 days straight of work, pffft on that!

I actually played quite a bit of poker this weekend as well, mainly tournaments. I played 3 $10 MTTs, 2 limit $10 HU matches, and 1 $50 MTT. I won one of my HU limit matches and lost everything else.

I played a few hours of $3/$6 stud hi/lo and lost about $98, I played about 2 hours of $3/$6 limit hold em and won about $40, and I won about $11 at PL Omaha.

I got my PSO points cleared for Titan Poker and bought a $100 partypoker gift certificate which helped to supplement my otherwise $132 losing weekend making it only $32 down.

Autographed Daniel Negreanu Shirt

I got home from yesterday with a package from Daniel Negreanu and it ended up being my autographed Fullcontactpoker.com shirt. It was very cool, he personalized the shirt in Sharpie to tell me congrats and then signed his name. Again, that was for finishing in the top 9 during the last Negreanu Open leaderboard period.

I didnt even play 1 hand of poker last night. We had a softball board meeting, cub scout meeting, then I had to watch Surivor that I had taped.

I finished 51st out of 107 in Negreanu Open when my AJ butted heads with AK and 67 preflop, flop comes A77 and i had no chance.

I won about $26 on pokerstars playing some $3/$6 and won about $14 on empire playing some $3/$6.

I rarely play on stars, cant believe I already earned another 3600 fpp points so I spent them on 2 books ....

Stupid Games

Well it never fails theres always at least 1 night every month or two I have to lose an insane amount of money and last night was one of those nights.

I lost $30+$3 in the RGP Open on Gamesgrid, I then turned around and lost $113 playing $3/$6 then off to $2/$4 Stud Hi/Lo where I proceeded to donk off another $82 then best yet and I am not quite sure what I was thinking here actually I decided to play $200 PL Omaha H/L.

I lost a good $320 playing Omaha and I am going to be honest with myself a around $120 of it was simply being outmatched at that level and I probably wont play that level again for awhile, but I lost one full buyin ($200) on the biggest bullshit I have ever seen and I will post the hand history when I get home.

I have KcKhAh3s and I raised to $7 preflop with 3 callers. Flop comes down 89h Qs. I kept the lead and bet out $25 and got 1 caller. The turn brings the J of hearts giving me the nut flush and no low possibility so I bet $50 which was about 2/3 the pot and the guy comes over the top all in which has me covered and I ofcourse call assuming he has TJ and the straight with maybe 3rd nut flush or something (Since I have 1st and 2nd). The river comes the 6h and he flops over As2s7hTh giving him the straight flush and he takes my $200. That was one of the worst gut shot stomach drops I felt. I never even saw the straight flush possibility with 7T out there. ARGH!!!!!!!!

I went to bed after that hand tilting like crazy and wondering how in God's name did I have another night where I lost $548. DAMNIT!!!!!!!!! STUPID F@#$%@#$% GAME!

Finished Titan Poker PSO Promo

Well I finished getting my last 1000 or so Titan Poker points to complete my PSO Promo. I played 1 $1/$2 table and 2 $2/$4 tables and had a really good near 3 hour session finishing the night up $185 plus I should have $10 more of the bonus coming tonight.

I submitted the PSO for completion so should have 9000 PSO points within 10 days and since I already have 6000 points in my PSO account I will go ahead and get another $100 Party Poker Gift Certificate when it clears.

Even though I have $470 left of my $500 reload bonus I can get at Titan I think I am going to go ahead and cash out since I would get more back at Empire with rakeback versus $10 per 1000 points at Titan.

This was the best session I have had all month so feels good.

Grinding Fun?

Sunday night I played poker for nearly 3 and 1/2 hours and only made $2 lol. I did something a little bit different this time and played 5 different types of poker in 45 minute sessions. I started off playing 2 tables of $2/$4 limit hold em on Titan Poker and made $1. I proceeded to play $3/$6 limit poker on Empire and lost $16. I then played $2/$4 limit Stud H/L on Empire and made $4. I then played some Omaha H/L and was up about $55, but lost it all back on one huge pot that was set over on the flop and we both missed our lows so was down $8 there. Then I headed to play some $2/$4 6 handed on Poker Stars and made $21.

It was actually kinda fun to play all those different mix of games, but certainly didnt help the bankroll any other then building little closer to my Titan PSO and maybe making a little rakeback on Empire.

An hours break even grind

Played $1/$2 and $2/$4 (the only limit tables open) on Titan Poker for about an hour and ended up down $63. Played $2/$4 Stud H/L on empire during the same hour and won $65 so pretty much a break even grind besides I accrued some Titan points and some rakeback on empire.

Bleh Friday Night Drinking

My daughter went to the movies with some friends so my wife, son and I went to Longhorn Steak House for some steak, pototes, salads, and beer (except my son the beer :D).

Came home and stayed up for a few hours sitting out side shooting the shit with the neighbors and doing some more drinking.

Right before I crashed around 1 AM I decided to do a drunken $5 HU SnG, I barely remember it, but check out these stats, talk about domination!

Survivor!

Didn't play any poker last night, but watched a lot of the WCOOP Event #12 Stud H/L match on Pokerstars. Came down to the final 3 between an unknown guy named Bunsen who ended up winning and Chris Moneymaker and Scott Fischman, very cool.

Last night was the first episode of Survivor: Guatemala. I am an absolute survivor fanatic freak. I've seen every episode of the previous 10 seasons and just love the show. Last nights was really good too. The only thing that kinda sucks is my son has his cub scout meetings every Thursday night at 7:00 so I have to tape it and then watch it when we get home, but small price to pay for little man!

Lots of Poker Stuff

The poker night started off with the Negreanu Open where I finished a lovely 114th out of 126. The way I went out was pretty rough, I called a 3x preflop raise with AQ of hearts and flop comes down 24Q rainbow with 2 way action. I check, original raiser 4x bets to me, I raise it to 9x, and he comes back over the top hard making it 27x to go. I figure I'm priced in now and am prepared to lose to a set or KK or AA and push my remaining chips. It takes quite a long time for him to make the call which made me feel better and better about my TPTK and I am happy to see him call and flop over JsJh, but my elation doesnt last long when the turn brings one of his 2 outs (the J of clubs) and I am out early. BAH! TERRIBLE CALL CELTIC!

http://pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=126569

Then I head and play about 100 hands on Titan poker where I proceed to get destroyed at the $2/$4 table, losing $95. On two different hands I flopped trips with K kicker and the other person had the A kicker, same guy both times. Once I had JK and another time I had QK flopes come JJ4 and QQ9 and he had JA and QA each time, what ya gonna do?

I then proceeded to play some $100 PL Omaha Hi/Lo on Empire. I lost $100 there pretty quick after I flopped a set and 1 from the 2nd nut low and a guy proeeded to runner runner Aces on the turn and river to hit a full house and neither of us hit our low, brutal.

I got up from PL Omaha and set at the $2/$4 limit Stud H/L table. I played for about 2 hours and managed to win $95 there. All and all I played quite a bit of poker, but ended down $111 for the day.

Actually, I just checked my email and it looks like I earned $10 towards my $500 Titan Poker deposit bonus last night so make that a $101 days loss. I have 1365 Titan Points and again need 3500 to complete the PSO bonus and the deposit bonus releases $10 for every 1000 points.

A couple of thank yous I need to give. First is to dabluebery who is a FCP member. He designed a new excel formula sheet that will save me a good amount of time computing the Negreanu Open leaderboard each week so thank you! Also thanks to Chao for sending me some information about propping, very interesting and I may take that up in the near future.

I will try to get the Negreanu Open leaderboard website updated tonight with the tournament results from yesterdays tournament.

RAKEBACK WHAAAA HOOOOOOOO!

Errrr ok so I finally got my first rakeback payment from my August play on Empire Poker and it was $422.50! ROCK ON! I have to admit I played a shit load of hands on Empire in August and a lot of short handed $5/$10 and $10/$20, but still! $422 that I would not have had if I had not signed up for rakeback! How in the hell have I missed out on this rakeback concept all this time?

Again, I signed up with my rakeback through Jayson Weber who is an admin at Fullcontactpoker.com. You can sign up directly on his website at http://www.jaysonweber.com/

He offers one of the best empire rakeback deals I have ever seen on the web, up to 30% and it breaks down like this based on your play:

27% Rakeback for any Total Monthly Rake
28% Rakeback for Total Monthly Rake > $1000
29% Rakeback for Total Monthly Rake > $2500
30% Rakeback for Total Monthly Rake > $5000

VERY NICE BANKROLL BOOSTER!

Few Titan Hands

I spent almost the entire day yesterday traveling around seeing customers so was pretty pooped by the time I got home. I played about 100 hands of $2/$4 on Titan Poker because thats the highest limit game they had going besides some short handed $5/$10. I am up to about 900 titan points (need 3500 to clear PSO bonus) and I made another $22 there.

My buddy joenin and I played what was the first of a series of $5 HU limit SnGs on Pokerstars. Our goal is to play better shorthanded and learn from each other, we share hand histories at the end and discuss good, bad, etc. I happened to win the 1st.

Tonight is the Negreanu Open and I will be playing in that.

I am back to official $3/$6 land, but will probably mainly still play $2/$4 until I clear the Titan PSO.

Could it be fate? Titan Poker

Hmmmm. I live in downtown Nashville, I love the Tennessee Titans, I found a new PSO Upgrade promo for a poker site called Titan Poker! I'm all in!

I played about 30 minutes on the site and theres definitely not much action there, thats for sure. There online chat supoort was awesome though, I chatted it up with a dude named Alex for like 10 minutes.

I deposited $500 which was matched 100% for $500 bonus. It releases by way of Titan points. I was playing $2/$4 limit as that seemed to be about the only game going and at that level you release 6 titan points per raked hands. To see all the points released by limit level you can visit their website at http://www.titanpoker.com/matchbonus_june05.html

In order to clear the PSO promo, which did I mention was an upgrade? 9000 points for me please! If your not signed up with PSO yet go do it right now, click on my flashing banner to right and be sure to use dna4ever as your referral source.

So I cleared 210 titan points 1 tabling $2/$4 for about 30 minutes. You need 3700 titan points to clear the PSO promo (5% there!) and the titan match bonus itself releases $10 for every 1000 points. So 1/5th the way to my first $10 and a mere 47,910 points away from the full $500 lol.

I managed to make $44 during my little 210 point stint which is A-OK with me!

Rockin Weekend

I had a great weekend and believe it or not it included ZERO poker. Saturday morning we got up and had my daughters birthday party which started around noon and finished at 3:00. Nothing like 15 12 year old girls running around the house.

My wifes parents came in to town so we had a 'free' babysitter for Saturday night and we went to see the Motley Crue concert. I have to say I was a little bit disappointed in the concert. I have been wanting to see Motley Crue for a long time, but they just didnt hold up to me expectations. Nonetheless the show was worth attending, but just not worth $80 a seat.

Sunday morning we got up and watched the first part of the Titans/Steelers game, BAH! Then we headed out for a day at the Tennessee State Fair. We stayed there from about 1 - 8 and had a really good time riding all the rides, playing games, eating the carnival food, and the best part of all is always just interacting with the carnies.

Exhausting weekend, I was home by 9:00 got the kids bathed and put to bed and was out like a light.

WTF, I won something?

I start off tonights play by playing 2 $2/$4 limit tables along with a $10 MTT tournament with about 1800 people. I make it nearly 2 1/2 hours into the MTT and into the money. I busted 145th when got all in preflop with AQs verus JK suited and of course a K flopped and I never hit my A. First was nearly $4000! but I got to settle for $14, weee.

I won about $35 during my $2/$4 limit session then 4 tabled some $50 NL for about 90 minutes and proceeded to make another $45.

Cool winning sessions rock! I have 547 of my required 600 fpp points on pokerstars then I will release my $120 bonus. Still waiting to hear from JaysonWeber on my Empire rakeback from August.

My boys a cub scout, and some $3/$6

Last night was my 6 year olds first Cub Scout meeting, such a proud papa moment.

I played about 100 hands of $3/$6 and managed to donk $100 from my bankroll. Heres a hand that really sucked.

http://pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=122545

I think I played the hand perfectly and theres no question my opponent missed out on at least 3 or 4 bets against me, just bad luck here.

The only thing that makes this following hand swallowable is the fact the guy was all in preflop. The fact he 4 bet with 28 of hearts to be all in preflop is another story. So my JJ vs his 28, flop 673, turn 8, river 8, bah! I won the sidepot, but thats one ridiculous way to lose a main pot.

http://pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=122551

I have 400 of my 600 pokerstars fpp points and then I'll rlease the $120 reload bonus.

Most Bizarre Lunch Ever

This is completely non poker related ....

Today at work I had to do some customer audits and end up driving a total of like 185 miles. I got lost in Waverly, Tennessee which is a city about the size of a tic tac. Ended up pulling a "U-E" and look up to find Loretta Lynn's Ranch and Cabin. Cool I guess.

I finish my 2 location audits and head back to find a place to eat.

I find this little hole in the wall Mexicana place in a city called White Bluff, TN; aka BFE.

So listen to this. We (me and 2 clients) walk in and this Mexican guy (imagine that) greets us, we are the only people in the restaurant and its like 12:15 PM (Prime Lunch Time). I'm imediately thinking this can't be good, the place has to suck or something.

So the guy who greets us takes us to 1 of the 6 tables in the entire restaurant. Somebody had obviously been there as there were still cups on the table. The other 5 tables were completely clean, but he chose to seat us at the only table in the restaurant that needed to be bus'd.

So the greeter puts on an apron (im not making this stuff up) and busses the table for us. Then this greeter/bussboy comes back like 3 minutes later with an order pad and says "What can I get you?" Hmmm, greeter/bussboy/waiter. Nice.

So after breaking through the English/Spanish language barrier I finally got my taco with meat and cheese along with a plate of refried beans and rice ordered.

The 'waiter' disappears and comes back in like 75 seconds with our food. I swear to God it was like one of those joke scenes in Tommy Boy where David Spades walks into the airplane bathroom in his flight attendant suit and the door opens up 2 seconds later and he is changed in his suit. I'm serious the guy couldnt have been gone 2 minutes and we had our hot steaming meals (actually prepared correctly) immediatley. Was really spooky.

So after 20 minutes of eating we were still the only people in this resaturant and the same guy brings me the check and says and I quote (again I'm not making this up I swear to you) "take this and pay up front".

So I take the check and go up front to the cash register and no one is there. The greeter/busboy/waiter walks right up behind me and takes the check from me and says "so how was everything today?" He then proceeds to check me out and adds cashier to his list of duties.

That entire experience could rank up with one of the more bizarre hours of my life. I couldnt help but laugh as we were walking out of the restaurant and a Japanese couple was walking in.

Daughters 12th Birthday

Yesterday was my daughters 12th birthday so we had a good dinner and spent nearly 2 hours painting her room a new God awful neon type color blue. We gonna have her party this weekend. Last night was the Negreanu Open and we had a record number of entrants, 124. I lasted about 2 hours and went out in 37th (2 pair versus a set), top 18 paid. I managed to get the leaderboard website updated (link to the right). I also played a tiny bit of $2/$4 on stars, but broke even after about 50 hands. I have 307 of my 600 required pokerstars fpp points to release the $120 bonus.

$100 PSO Referral Bonus & $15 GamesGrid Rakeback Bonus

Big hardy thanks again to all those who have (and continue) to use me as a referral source for pokersourceonline.com Referral points posted today and I got 14000 points this month so I spent 10,000 on a $100 partypoker gift certificate. I still have 6000 points left and not sure if I wanna get a couple books or parlay that next month into another $100 gift certificate if I get more referrals.

I got my Gamesgrid affiliate report and it was a pitiful $15. 44 referrals I have sent to Gamesgrid and I only earned $15, you slackers need to get back to playing. It was like $1 here $2.20 there so no one earned enough to meet the $5 minimum requirement for me to send them their half this month.

Guess NL is not my game

I played in a $10 rebuy tournament last night and invested $51 into the thing only to go out in hour with with AK vs A8 and a A8x flop. SIGH.

I then played about 200 hands of NL on pokerstars and lost about $120. The most critical hand was when an idiot limped from early position with Kings, I raised from the button with QQ, he called. Flop came 26J. I bet pot, he called, turn T, I bet pot again, he pushed, I called, he showed Kings, bleh.

Cleared Empire Bonus

Finished my 1000 raked hands on Empire, lost $32 in this last session. I also played in the $10 stars MTT and busted out 837th out of 1600+ when I ended up all in with TT versus TdQd and 3 diamonds fell on the flop, pfffft.

Guess I am going to work on my remaining 500 fpp points left to clear the $120 bonus on Pokerstars now.

Hope to have my Empire Rakeback within a week which should be a few hundred dollars, not sure if I will earn any Gamesgrid referral rakeback or not, and I have about 12 pending Pokersourceonline referrals pending that should close on the 10th. I'll take 1000 points and get a $100 partypoker gift certificate.

$10 MTT and $20 SnG - 2 and 3 outtered

So I'm plugging along in last nights $10 MTT that had 1921 entrants. Its about 2 hours in and I get moved to a table with fellow FCP'er Spademan. We are down to about 320 people out of the starting 1900+ and the money starts at 180. Lots of FCPers are railbirding the table and everyones all friendly, "Tee hee, weeeeeee, laalallaalal" then like the 2nd hand I am at this table (Spademan is the table chip leader and I am in his big blind). It folds all the way around to spademan who is on the button and attempts his bully maneuver and raises my BB 4x to 1600 (Blinds were $200/$400). Well I wake up with QQ and push in the last of my $5160 in chips and am all-in. Spade calls instantly and has a respectble TT and his a 4:1 dog. Flop comes 9A6, weeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Turn another A, weeeeeeeeeeee. Double up time baby! What the hell is this? A Ten on the river? BAH and I am 2 outtered in 314th place.

So then my friend Joenin and I decide to play a $20 SnG. The last 2tournaments we have played together we have both made the final 3 and he won both while I finished 2nd and 3rd. Well this tournament was no exception, we hit the money and were down to the final 3. Joenin was the table chipleder by an overwhelming amount and was taking blinds left and right. This hand I pick up A7s in the SB and Joenin button raises 2x which is more then half my stack so I push my remaining 800 or so chips and am after his call am delighted I am way ahead A7s versus his A2o. The flop comes perfect for my hand 8s5s6h giving me an open ended straight draw, the nut flush draw, and still A7 high, like 86% favorite. The turn brings another 6 so now I'm only 70% favorite cause a high card will bring a chopped pot. The river doesnt dissappoint me and brings the dang 2 of hearts! 3 outtered and out in 3rd!

WOW

This hand deserves its own post. All I can say is wow! Besides the fact he called preflop, was behind 97% to 3% at the flop, kept calling, just look at the hand itself, WOW

http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=119953

In other news I am up to 875 hands out of my 1000 required for the $100 bonus. Took a few beats and ended this session down $27.

No more anonymous comments

Well apparently people have figured out a way to hack into blogger.com and everytime I make a new post I get about 2 or 3 spam 'comments' which I have to go in and manually delete so from now on I have turned off anonymous commenting, sorry.

Here is an example of when everything goes right at the same time. 4 tabling and BAM all 4 tables light up ...

Happy Labor Day?

I dont guess one really celebrates Labor Day per say, so I now dub this day as "DNA4EVER'S FIRST ROYAL FLUSH EVER DAY!"

It's amazing, I have never ever ever had a royal flush in my life. This year alone I have played well over 100,000 hands so thats just crazy, but today the little $2/$4 limit poker Gods shined down upon me and said "TODAY IS YOUR DAY". I was dealt JsKs in the big blind and got the free look at the flop. AsTs4c. The turn brought the beautiful Qs and that was that ....

Heres the full hand history ...

So I played about 200 more raked hands on Empire and have now completed about 550 of my required 1000 raked hands I need to rake in the next 2 days to clear the $100 bonus. I was able to net up about $40 during those 200 hands, wooo another winning session.

Last night I caught up on the first 3 episodes of Gene Simmons new reality TV show called Rock School. Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely love KISS and Gene Simmons. My wife and I have easily seen KISS over a dozen times in concert and I even personally got to meet Gene about 2 years ago at one of his book signings which was really cool. The show is kind of like the movie School of Rock with Jack Black except with Gene Simmons and a bunch of 13 year old English boarding school students. If it was starring any other rocker besides Gene I probably wouldnt watch it anymore, but I'll probably finish the series out to see what happens.

Welp, time to go cut grass, ugh.

3 Sites - 3 Winning Sessions

Last night I played a $20 SnG on Pokerstars and finished 1st place which was good for $90, $68 net after the $22 buyin. Yes you heard me, I actually won something; that was not a typo.

Today, Empire Poker started their turbo bonus. 3 weeks ago I wouldnt even have considered trying to play 1000 raked hands in 3 days to earn $100, but given my current bankroll situation I decided I would give it a shot. I played 350 of the required raked hands at $2/$4 and found myself pretty much broke even, +$11.

I havent played on Gamesgrid forever, but they sent me a promo to play in their $1000 Sunday Tourney. Since it was pretty much a freeroll for me I decided to play it. There was 152 entrants and I ended up finishing 7th which was good for $37.50. My last hand I was getting shortstacked and pushed with QK sooted and ran into AA.

The next 2 days I'm gonna try and finish my remaining 650 raked hands on Empire.

I think I am going to start posting my "Bad Beat of the Day Award". Todays Giver of the Bad Beat of the Day Award is terra_123.

Dna4ever starts out with a sexy KdKs and Terra_123 starts the action by calling the raise with the almight 8J of hearts. The flop brings AdKh8d giving dna4ever a beautiful set and backdoor flush draw as well as the 94.9% favorite against the terra_123 who is drawing dead to running 8s or runner runner hearts.

The turn brings an exciting 2 of hearts. I bet, some 3rd person raises, our friend terra_123 calls, I reraise, and terra_123 calls. Well this wouldnt be a bad beat story if the 7 of hearts didnt fall and terra_123 didnt hit his/her flush.

Few SnGs

Last night I played some drunken SnGs with my friend Joenin who is a fellow FCPer. We played 1 $20 SnG and actually made it down to HU between me and him. Final hand we were all in preflop my AK of hearts versus A7 of clubs, the flop brings a 7 and the turn brings another 7, pfffft! Oh well, 2nd place money is good too!

http://pokerhand.org/index.php?page=view&hand=118332

We played another $5 SnG because we were getting to buzzed to play higher. Amazingly enough we both made it down to final 3 again and he busted me when once again he runner runnered 7s to make a full house with a pair of 6s on the board.

I also played about 100 hands of $2/$4 on pokerstars because of their $120 reload bonus. I netted up about $25 there so a +$60 night.

New Month - New Luck?

I didnt get any poker in last night, but I am hoping the new month of September has some good things in store for me. August kicked my ass for $2700. Pokerstars has a 20% reload bonus up to $120 going on right now so I am going to take advantage of that. I also got an email from Empire Poker saying they were going to do a turbo reload bonus starting Sept 4th, 100% up to $100, but must rake the 1000 hands within 3 days. Guess they are trying to get some action for the Labor Day weekend which is probably typically slower for them.

New Negreanu Open Leaderboard Page

Well I busted 26th out of 74 last night in the Negreanu Open when my A4 ran up against JJ with a JJx flop, DOH!

The old leaderboard period is now over and I managed to keep my 9th overall position which means I will be one of the 9 getting an autographed Daniel Negreanu Fullcontactpoker.com T-Shirt and Hat, very cool!

I spend the last day or two created a new website for the upcoming Negreanu Open leaderboard period. Its the same link as the old URL, but has a little more cosmetic appeal to it and it's alot more informative with a full F.A.Q. section. It seemed like I was getting 2 or 3 private messages a day asking the same questions over and over so that FAQ section will hopefully end most of that.

Again the leaderboard URL is http://home.comcast.net/~fullcontactpoker/leaderboard.html
